I moved here 4 years ago and I love this place it's cozy and friendly and the food is great. The only things I don't like about it are things they can't do anything about like the noise level because nobody knows how to use their inside voice in this country and once you notice someone spouting their vitriol you can't ignore it. I don't know if the fire code says they can only have a certain amount of people in the building but seems like it could be rearranged to accommodate more people.
Solid breakfasts, great service, and iconic location. This place was opened in 1913 - 111 years old! Ask to see an original menu and the book on tunnels - very interesting. I really enjoyed their chicken fried steak.
I love it when you discover a locally owned business in a town you’re passing through on a long road trip that has tasty food, fantastic service, friendly staff. I highly recommend stopping here for a great experience. You know it’s a great place when it’s full of friendly locals eating here too
New to Mountain Home and OMG this place is the best. Breakfast and lunch all day and the food is amazing. There is history behind this place also and just it’s our go to spot for breakfast or early lunch. Love the cooks. The staff. The atmosphere, not to mention the best menu with delicious food. Highly recommend!!
Best chef salad I've ever had! Enough for at least 2 people! Fantastic service! Great food! This was my first time here and I guarantee it will now be my regular stop for lunch every time I go out!
I love old fashioned breakfast joints .. and this one was so cool. Sat at the bar and the staff was extremely nice. The food was fantastic. My pancake was huge !!😆 the bacon was thick cut and not over cooked unlike most breakfast places that usually come with crispy thin bacon. Overall experience was great. I live in Boise and was passing through but I’ll definitely be back next time an adventure takes me back this way

They had the most prompt and amazing service and best biscuits and gravy I've ever had! Wonderful servers, food was cheap and good quality and came out quickly, this restaurant is the best of all worlds

My favourite Saturday Morning tradition of all time. Fired up her grill for the first time in the last year of the Old World (1913), entire generations have come to know her and enjoy what she has to offer. Great family food, very good prices, kind and friendly service. This morning's breakfast for two cost $21.84, and I'm still full. Love this place and it's people.
